The Gauntlet

Gather, craft and cook against a timer, then fight the Hunllef with what you made.

The Gauntlet is the one raid you walk into with nothing. Everything you fight the boss with is made inside it, under a timer, out of a maze that is built fresh for every attempt.

Getting in

::gauntlet starts a Corrupted run; ::gauntlet standard starts the standard one. The teleport window's Raids row leads to the same lobby platform. The door needs the Corrupted Gauntlet scroll, 50,000 blood money at the Emblem Trader's counter, read once per account.

Death here is safe, and it costs you the run rather than your bank.

The preparation

The maze is generated per run: the boss room sits in the middle, your starting side is random, and each room reveals itself as you light its node. What is in a room is rolled when you open it - resources, low-tier monsters, or one of the four demi-bosses in the maze's cardinal extremes.

The loop is the same every time and the timer is seven and a half minutes:

  • Gather with the tools you are given - deposits, phren bark, linum, fish and grym leaf.
  • Craft weapons, armour and a bowl from what you gathered.
  • Cook the fish on a range and brew egniol potions through the bowl, pump and grym chain.

Nothing carries in and nothing carries out except the reward.

The Corrupted Hunllef

Two rotations running at once, and neither is optional.

Its attacks start on ranged and swap between ranged and magic every fourth attack, with a switch animation a tick before the one that changes. Roughly one magic attack in six is the prayer-disabling variant, which turns every prayer you have on off. Praying correctly halves the hit; the armour you crafted decides how big that hit was to begin with, from 28 in nothing down to 14 in a perfected set.

Your attacks are the other rotation. The overhead above the boss is the style it is currently immune to - hits of that style land for zero and do not count - and every six hits that do count, it swaps to resist whichever style the sixth one was. So the answer is to swap weapon the moment the overhead changes, which is why the preparation makes you three of them.

Standing under the body gets you trampled, tornados arrive on a fixed cadence and chase at walking pace, and the floor lights up in warning patterns that hurt five ticks later. All three get worse as its health drops.

Dying does not pay nothing: a run in which you did at least half the boss's health pays a consolation tier from the same chest.
